Doctrinal Statement

The Holy Scriptures:—We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and the New Testaments as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and they are of supreme and final authority in all matters of Doctrine, faith and life; II Timothy 3: 16-17; Matthew 5:18;
John 16: 12-13.

The Trinity of the God-Head—We believe in one Triune God, existing in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Eternal in being, identical in nature, equal in power and gory and having the same attributes and perfections. Deuteronomy 6:4 II Corinthians 13:14.

The Person and Work of Christ—We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary as true Man in order that He accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice; that our redemption is made sure to us by his literal physical resurrection from the dead. John 1:1-2, 14; Luke 1:35; Romans 3: 24-25; I Peter 1: 3-5. That the Lord Jesus Christ is now in Heaven, exalted at the right hand of God, where, as the High Priest for His people, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor and Advocate. Hebrews 9:24, 7:25; Romans 8:34; I John 2: 1-2.

The Creation and Fall of Man—We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also that spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and in the case of those who reach moral responsibility, become sinners in thought, word and deed. Genesis1: 26-27; Romans 3: 22-23; Ephesians s2:12.

The New Birth— We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2: 8-10; John 1: 12; Ephesians 1: 7; I Peter 1: 18-19.

The Personality and Work of the Holy Spirit —We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, indwells all believers at the moment of salvation, baptizes them into the body of Christ, seals them unto the day of redemption, and that it is the duty of every believer to be fed with the Holy Spirit. Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1: 13-14;                        and 5:18.

The Two Natures of the Believer— We believe that every saved person possesses two natures with provision made for victory of the new nature over the old nature through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit; and, that all claims to the eradication of the old nature in this life are unscriptural. Romans 6:13, 8:12-13; Galatians 5: 16-25; Ephesians 4: 22-24; Colossians 3:10;                   I Peter 1:14-16 I John 3: 5-9.

Law and Grace— We believe the grace of God to be sufficient for the maintenance of a godly walk and that Christ and not the Law is the believer’s rule of life. Galatians 2:6, 3:11; Romans 3: 19-20, 28; and I John 1:9.

The Responsibility of Believers— We believe that all believers should seek to walk in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, that it is the obligation of every believer to witness by life and by word to the truths of Holy Scriptures and to seek to proclaim the Gospel to all the world. Acts 1:8; that it is the responsibility of all believers to remember the work of the Lord in prayer and to support it with their means as the Lord has prospered them. I Corinthians 16:2.

The Assurance of Believers— We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ, become children of God; that they are indwelt and sealed by the Holy Spirit and so are secured unto the day of redemption. But that the testimony of God’s Word clearly forbids the use of Christian Liberty as an occasion to the flesh. Romans 13: 13-14; Galatians 5:13; Titus 2: 11-15.

The Church— We believe that the Church, which is now the body of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of  all born-again persons of this age irrespective of their affiliation with Christian organizations. Ephesians 1: 22-23, 5:25-27;         I Corinthians 12: 12-14.

Sovereignty— We believe that God, existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is sovereign, and exercises supreme and absolute rule over all creation as a part of and consistent with the essence and attributes of deity. I Chronicles 29: 11-13; Daniel 4: 35; Psalms 24:1; Ephesians 1: 11; I Timothy 6:15.

Israel’s Place in God’s Program— We believe that the gifts and calling of God are without repentance, and therefore His covenant people, Israel, now blind and scattered, shall be redeemed and regathered to the Land of Promise which is commonly known as Palestine; and under the personal and millennial reign of Christ upon David’s throne in Jerusalem, shall become the head of the nations and the Gentiles shall come to their light and kings to the brightness of their rising. Romans 11: 25-29; Psalm 72; Isaiah 60:3.

Spirituality—We believe that spirituality is an absolute condition in the life of a believer in this dispensation wherein he is filled or controlled by the Holy spirit, walks in love and fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ We believe that spirituality is distinct from maturity, that a believer becomes carnal through any act of mental, verbal, or overt sin and that spirituality or fellowship with Christ is restored by personal confession of that sin to God the Father. John 15: 7-8; II Corinthians 5:17; Galatians 5:16; Ephesians 5:18;                                              Romans 6: 11-13; I John 1: 5-2:2; and I Corinthians 11: 30-31.

Separation—We believe that the Scriptures clearly teach non-conformity to the world for every believer, that born again people should be separated from the world unto Christ; that it is clearly commanded of God to all believers to live lives of separation from all world and sinful practices and to be Holy as He is Holy. We believe that positional sanctification occurs at the moment of regeneration and that experiential sanctification is to be progressive throughout the entire life span of a believer here on earth. God’s provision for holy living is the believers identification with Christ in His death, resurrection and ascension and the indwelling person and power of the Holy Spirit and the believer’s yieldedness to Him; and by the powerful Word of God. Colossians 1:13, 3: 1-4; II Corinthians 6:14-17, 7: 1, 3:18; I Peter 1: 14-16; II Peter 3:18; John 17:17; Hebrews 4:12, 10: 1,14; Titus 2:14; Romans 6: 1-14.

The Personality of satan—We believe that satan, the fallen one, is the god of this age, the adversary of Christ and His Church, and that his destiny is eternal punishment, Job 1: 6-7; Isaiah 14: 12-17; Matthew 4: 2-11.

Doctrine of Eternal Hell—We believe in a literal Heaven and a literal Hell. Heaven is the place of eternal conscious joy for all who receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Hell is the place of conscious punishment for all who reject Jesus Christ and those dying in their sin until the final judgment at which time death and hell are cast into the Lake of Fire, which is the place of eternal conscious punishment. Psalm 9:17, 16:11; John 8:24, 14: 1-6; Philippians 1: 21-23; II Thessalonians 1: 7-9; and Revelation 20:10-15.

The Blessed Hope—We believe that the next great event in the fulfillment of prophecy will be the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in the air to receive to Himself the dead in Christ and believers who are alive at His coming, otherwise known as the Rapture and Translation of the Church. I Corinthians 15: 51-57; I Thessalonians 4: 13-18; Titus 2: 11-14.

Lord’s Supper and Baptism—We believe that Jesus Christ instituted the Lord’s Supper to commemorate His death till He come. We believe that Water Baptism by immersion is an ordained testimony, portraying the believers union with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. Romans 6:4;                      Colossians 2: 9-13; I Corinthians 11: 23-33.
