He is Risen!

And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

When man disobeyed the Lord and sought His own will sin came into the world. And the Lord said; “Thorns also and thistle shall it (the ground) bring forth to thee: ……….. In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: and dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. “This was part of the curse when man chose his own way in the Garden of Eden.

There is no way we can reach the standard of righteousness which God demands of us, so the Lord out of Heaven, out of love, chose to pay the penalty for sin which it demanded. Christ wore the crown of thorns upon His head because He loved us! Christ took our curse. The roman soldiers platted a crown of thorns and pushed it into that sinless head until the blood ran down across His face

He faced the outraged mob that cried for His death, He willingly faced the hatred of the Roman soldiers and religious leaders without a word. They nailed Him to that tree where He hung and bleed and died, where He was crucified for you and me.

Christ did not resist for this was the exact time to pay the penalty, for He was born and came to this earth to pay our sin debt on the Cross of Calvary. When arrested in the garden He said to His disciples “Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?” (One legion is 6,000, twelve legions are 72,000 angels.)

Twelve legions of angels were at His beck and call. They waited, they watched while they took Him in the garden. When they took Him to the judgment hall. When the roman soldiers mocked Him, beat Him and spit upon Him. They waited unseen in the sky with swords drawn, just waiting for the call from their Lord and Creator and Master. And why? Why? did He not call. Tears no doubt ran down their faces as they watched the hatred cast upon Him. They could not understand. It was horrible for them to behold and helpless they were.. For without His command they could only watch and see.

Praise God

Praise God that Christ stayed on that tree. His hands and feet nailed to that cross. However, it wasn’t the nails that held Him there, it was His love for you and me. He suffered and bleed and died to pay the sin debt which we never are able to pay. Had He come down from that tree then we all would be hopeless and helpless, facing an eternal “Lake of Fire.”

He hung on that cross, He bled and He died, and His body was laid in a borrowed tomb and on the third day He rose from the dead. He defeated the foe of death.

Praise God He Paid the Penalty

What if Christ hat not risen from the dead?

We would still be in our Sin!

We would have no forgiveness of our sins. If Christ had not risen, which was the proof that God accepted Jesus’ sacrifice, there would be no basis for forgiveness of our transgressions, our sins.

No Hope!

If Christ would not have been raised from the dead then there would be no hope. We would all be doomed to the eternal punishment of the lake of fire and eternal separation from God. There would be no hope for the future! John 3:16; “For God so loved the world that he gave his One and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.”

Our Faith would be worthless

There would be no reason to preach or teach the gospel of Christ. There would be no reason to go to church. And if anyone would teach the resurrection he would be a false witness. But praise God Christ did not stay in that grave.

He did rise from the Grave!

But Praise God Christ has risen from the grave. He is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and has all power and authority in heaven and earth. Our faith, as believers, is not in vain for we serve a risen savior. This risen savior came first so that all might be saved who place their faith in Him. Our faith is a valid faith, the Bible is the true written Word of God, our sins are forgiven, and our hope of resurrection is secure.

There is no excuse!

If you chose to disregard what happened on this most precious day over 2000 years ago, if you say it is not true you have no excuse. While hanging on that cross in misery Luke 22:34 tells us Then said Jesus, “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” Christ did not curse those who crucified Him, He did not hate them, for He does not hate us. He paid the price willingly. If you deny Christ there is no excuse. There is no second chance. The decisions we make on this earth are extremely important. If you hate Christ and laugh at Him and mock Him and His word think about this.

What if it is True, and it is, not only is your eternal soul in peril, but those you love also. For your children may follow in your footsteps and deny the one who paid the price. Would you want others you love to spend eternity prepared for the devil and his angels. Check out what the Scriptures say, for they are life and truth.

Our prayer for you if you have never accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is to do so now. For we never know when our last day on earth will be. May this be the most glorious Easter for you and your family. And remember this; nothing takes God by surprise. He has all things under His control. Coronavirus didn’t cause God to be shocked or panicked. Pray that the Lord of the harvest will use this to bring many to salvation, and prayfully pray this country’s leaders and for America to return to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Have a blessed and joyful Easter season.

Praise our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For He Has RISEN!!!

Resurrection day! How important was it?

Hebrews 9:26 tells us: “…once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.” Christ went to the Cross of Calvary and there He shed His blood for our sins, as an atonement. If He had not been raised from the dead then His sacrifice would have been in vain and we would still be in our sins.

Yes! His Resurrection was Important! For without it we would be hopelessly lost! Praise God to whom all honor and praise belong!

If you have never placed your faith in Jesus Christ, now is the time of salvation. We are always only one heartbeat from eternity. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and ye shall be saved.

Romans 6:23: “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD. We would still be receiving the wages of sin, and eternal death would be what we would have to look forward to. John 10:28: “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand”. The evil one would be able to pluck us out of His hand if He were still in the grave and we would perish into an everlasting Lake of Fire.

I John 5:13:
“These
things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God
.

The things written would not be true, we would not know that we have eternal life and believing on the Son of God would be a futile thing if He were not raised from the dead.I Peter 1:18,19: “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold,…..But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:” If Christ were not raised then His blood would not have been spotless and we would not be redeemed.

Hebrews 10:12,14: “But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, Sat down on the right hand of God For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.”

If He were not raised from the dead then He could not sit on the right hand of God, but since He was raised He is setting on the right hand of God and in control of all things. Col. 3:4 “When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. I John 4:9: “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Psalm 103:12; “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us”. Our sins would not have been removed from us. We would spend eternity with the horror of our old man.

Hebrews 5:9; “And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;” He would not have been the author of eternal salvation and we of all men would be most miserable. For we would have put our faith into something that was not true. But Praise God–Christ Rose from the Dead! He is now seated at the right hand of God the Father and gives to all those that place their faith in Him ETERNAL LIFE

If you have never placed your faith in Jesus Christ, now is the time of salvation. We are always only one heartbeat from eternity. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and ye shall be saved.
